Writing Retreat

The VITAL team congregated for a 3 days of intensive exchange, brainstorming, writing and planning in the beautiful surroundings of Dragsholm Slot. The goal was to cross-fertilize and mobilize the unique insights that we have gained during our fieldwork which spans people living with chronic kidney disease (CKD) in Austria, dementia care in South Korea, the m-patient tinkerings of persons with type 1 diabetes in Denmark and the making of ‘genetically at risk’ chronicities among families with Lynch syndrome in Denmark.

The VITAL retreat consisted of a series of different collaborative formats including a team meeting, the pairing up of papers/authors for feedback and brainstorming, writing time, the further planning of joint articles and a grant writing workshop with a focus on career development.
